Unpacked the computer today.

There's a crack in the case and the monitors aren't working.

At this rate I'll be getting every penny I spent on insurance back...

My house looks like a bomb filled with cardboard shrapnel hit it...

And the removalists in Australia (bless their cotton socks) wrote things on the boxes like "last minute items" and "misc" and "girls room".

Can't find a damn thing.

Mind you, they also wrote useful hints on the fridge like "not this side, Kiwi" so the NZ removalists would know where the front of the fridge was (because everything was sealed in white bubblewrap so they couldn't tell, you see). The best note we found was "this side, bro...cheers". Hehehe

And while they managed not to lose anything, they also managed to bust my antique mirror stand and the sewing machine cabinet, along with a few minor scrapes. All in all, though, considering there were nearly 400 items in the container, we did all right. The really expensive stuff - Secondborn's $11,000 motorised bed and all the plasma TVs, for instance - made it safe and sound, although I'm starting to wonder where the UPS is... haven't found a box heavy enough to have it in there yet.

Disturbingly, there are a number of boxes marked "stuff from attick"... which would be fine, except, well, we didn't have an "attick"  or even an attic in the Alice Springs house...

I'm almost afraid to open those boxes:)

In the meantime, I need to find the insurance estimates so I can claim for the damage. It's  probably in one of the boxes marked "odds and ends".

Finally...

After a month of camping in Reynox House like a bunch of squatters, the furniture has cleared Customs and will be here tomorrow!

So... there are lots of signs around here advertising "The Best Abba Show in New Zealand", which I think is on sometime in March in one of the local town halls.

So here're my questions...

• How many Abba shows are there getting about NZ?
• Does the worst Abba show advertise too? (Hey... coming soon... the worst Abba show in NZ)?
• Are there only two show (the best and the worst), a whole mess of them, or are this outfit the only one and therefore the best by default?

I have pondered these questions a lot lately...

Which in itself is a sad commentary on my life...hehehe
